Cognitive behavioral case work approach is effective in dealing with people with schizophrenia (auditory hallucination). Research suggests up to 10 of people will experience auditory hallucinations at some point in life. The therapy outcome showed changes in decreased distress, anxiety, depression and positive symptoms. The intervention reported changes in reduced distress, positive symptoms (auditory hallucination), anxiety and depression. A single subject case study design was used pre and post-assessment was done to see the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral case work intervention. He was receiving treatment from OPD of LGBRIMH, Tezpur for schizophrenia. This case report describes a middle aged man whose auditory hallucination caused great distress and disruption in daily functioning. For instance, the person may simultaneously be able to see visuals, hear voices, and smell something, making the experience very real for them. However, many people with schizophrenia tend to experience multimodal hallucinations that involve multiple sensory modalities.
